Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

Jesus Loves Me, This I Know
Our wooden hymn art is handmade with love by Kayla Currier, owner of Live Oak Boutique.
Each hymn has been transferred to a whitewashed wooden art panel. You will notice distressing on some of the letters and notes, which gives the art piece a beautiful vintage, shabby chic look. See additional details below!

DETAILS:
Jesus Loves Me, This I Know is one of the best-known children's hymns ever written. The theme of this hymn is the assurance of God's love, and a review of what Jesus did for us. In 1860, Anna Warner and her sister Susan wrote a two-volume novel called Say and Seal. Jesus Loves Me This I Know appeared in their book as a poem, and was written to comfort a dying child. In 1861, William Batchelder Bradbury, set the poem to music. Reference Hymnary.org.

The Story Behind Our Wooden Hymn Art Collection
Hymns bring back such sweet memories. For me, memories of going to the little Baptist church in Vega, Texas with my mom and brothers, sitting close to the front row, trying our best to behave. For my mom, hymnals bring back sweet memories of her Grandmother singing in the kitchen. For many, hymns have a way of bringing back cherished memories of loved ones who have already gone home to be with Jesus. I wanted to create beautiful timeless art that brings back cherished memories and reminds us of the gospel.
